Welcome to the
Netherlands Clearing-House Mechanism for Biodiversity:
Gateway to biodiversity and the Netherlands

This information platform is a national contribution to the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The NL CHM portal aims to offer information on the convention and its implementation in the Netherlands. It also provides easy access to knowledge about status and trends of the biodiversity in this country and brings you into contact with the people and organisations involved.

Several pages of this NL CHM web site are still under construction. The site is being updated regularly.

For CBD National reports from The Netherlands see our page National reports and other documents. A summary of the last formal National Report to the Secretariat of the CBD is given in the new brochure "Biodiversity and the Netherlands" (2002).

Recently the english version of the new International Policy Programme on Biodiversity (BBI) of the Netherlands has been published. It is now available on this CHM web site.

The NL CHM is hosted by the Department of Knowledge of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality
